ARTIST STATEMENT:
I am a landscape artist painting in oils. I love painting outside"en plein air" because I can get the best color and lighting of a scene at different times of the day or night. I often do field studies on location and then return to my studio to do larger paintings. Field studies help to catch the proper color and lighting of a scene. My favorite things to paint are landscapes, oceans, harbors and boats. My style is representational art.
